We’ve been experiencing an odd issue with our new 2023 Sonata, which has the factory stock touchscreen head unit.
When connected to an iPhone via CarPlay, regardless of if it’s wired or wireless, if we do something like take a picture, enabling the camera automatically activates the microphone (we can see the red indicator on the touchscreen), and when the app is closed, the mic indicator disappears, but then the radio turns on by itself.
It was doing this with an older iPhone SE and is still doing it with a newer iPhone 13 mini.
There’s a related thread at Apple support about this, but Hyundai / Kia blames Apple and vice versa.
Anyone else having this issue?
