Apple Music Dolby Atmos and Lossless music seem to stop playing after a while on Mac

I have Dolby Atmos set to Auto and quality for both downloads and streaming set to Lossless. When I start playing, the Atmos and/or Lossless icons appear in the "now playing" but after a while (usually a few songs in), they disappear which gives me the impression that it's no longer playing in Atmos or Lossless. I have noticed that the icons only appear to begin with when I'm playing through the MacBook speakers but not through my regular AirPods or other Bluetooth audio devices. I don't have any outstanding software updates.

It shouldn't have, considering that I have my subscription rolling on a credit card and wasn't charged for anything until a couple days after the incident.
