Ok, eWallet devs promised an OSX native desktop app for syncing last August.

Well, I'm tired of waiting (and using Parallels to sync). What is the best OSX password manager?

I'm thinking 1password.

Add another fan of 1PassWord, both on the iPhone and Mac desktop. Use both all day everyday.

Been using 1Password for over a year and absolutely love it. I want nothing else.

Whereas I like ewallet so much I'll stick with it and having to use Parallels to sync. (I mean, how difficult is it to run Parallels, though I accept a native OSX version would be so much better). I tried 1Password before ewallet came out but jumped as soon as ewallet launched their iPhone app. I'll stick it out.

I've been a loyal eWallet fan since the iPaq PocketPC days back in 2002. However, booting up the memory-sucking Parallels install makes me not want to sync as much.

In addition, I find that the eWallet syncing is a bit jank. Sometimes you have to restart the eWallet app to "discover" the iPhone correctly.

Yes 1password is not as pretty but syncing is a 1 second easy process.

The thing that really pisses me off, is that Illium blogged MANY times that they would get an OSX version by Dec 08. So I paid my cash on that promise.

As Kanye West says, "Illium Software doesn't care about OSX people."

Yep, agree 100%. The sync under parallels is weak. I have to launch ewallet desktop sync (allow connection but fails to discover), quit & relaunch and resync. A chore, agreed but as I don't need need to sync every sec of every day with a fairly mature and stable dB it doesn't bother me too much. I'd rather put up with it than switch to something I'm not that keen on.

And like you say, Illium deserve to be hung drawn and quartered for their failed promises. (But I'll still stick with ewallet ;) )

I just got 1password today on a trial and I'm trying to get it to sync with my iPod Touch. In the 3rd version it should just come up in the window but it isn't. Can anyone help?

Another vote for IPassword.

*Love* their program and syncs beautifully over wifi to iPhone client. iPhone client as rocks, and love auto-fill feature for Safari and firefox.

Everytime Safari upgrades, 1Password has an upgrade fix to their browser extension within a day or two. Very good serivce thus far, highly reccommend.
