Hi guys,

We are talking about the loose of signal once a dongle in connected to a macbook.

i was looking almost everywhere but i was not able to figure it out a troubleshoot, i know buying the original one everything should be fine.

I have read the tin foil trick, but it seems not working for me.
i know too there is a bunch of 3d out of here, but none of them seems end with a solution.

Is there a general and well know fix for this shame?
Anyway those who solved just with tin foil, could you please explain how?

I mean: i have wrapped all the cable from the dongle to the end (close to the mac) but i still lose signal once i plug it in.

Please don't answer me with sentences like - there is an Intel paper about it - buy the original one.

cheers,

F.

I would like to help but I have no idea what is going on with the question.
Please explain what problem you are solving and what you want to achieve.
I can guarantee that tinfoil is not the answer regardless of the question.

Hi Barbu,
i was talking something like this. if you glimpse online seems a pretty common problem. i Mean the loose of wifi signal once you plug an HDMI or usb -c in it.

And... still if you see online tinfoil or buy the original one are the only solutions i have found.

I hope know it's a bit more clear...

Ok that helps. Seems like there is a bit of it going around. I would blame the dongle/dock since it is clealry the source of interference. And that’s why foil seems to help, since it helps minimize the RF coming off the dongle. Cheap electronics are the worst for spurious signals. The manufacturer apparently put no effort in to avoid these emanations. I’d return for a refund and acquire a higher quality part.
I have the Apple dongle and have never seen this. My boss has a no-name dongle and he hasn’t mentioned it either. So some are clearly good but some are clearly bad.

ok,
would be helpful if you can take a picture, or simply take note of the model.
