I TOLD you not to laugh! OK, since AOL won't install on a Mac Pro, and I've been an idiot staying with it anyway, I'm outta there. But I have fourteen years' worth of e-mail archived in AOL e-mai:confused: l format on the G4. How do I convert thousands of AOL e-mails to TextEdit or something?

I don't really need to extract the File Cabinets; I've already saved the Important Stuff to folders on the hard drive (as AOL e-mail documents).

Is this a job for some kind of Applescript (which I don't know how to program)?

I tried this thing called AOL Service Assistant (File Cabinet into Apple Mail) and the results are dizzying and uncertain. I got one of the thousands to open (and it addresses the File Cabinets, which I don't need).

If you can wait, I have a book and I can try to look it up for you. Don't know when I can get to it, since I am at work. The book is with me at work :) . Just wish i had a mac at work!

I read that you can use a program that exports mail, contacts and calendars from outlook, not outlook express. into formats that can be imprted into address book, ical and mail or entourage.

This is from the book macs and os x by peter buckley.

The information is from pc to mac. The program is called: outlook2mac
