Still use it from time to time just because of that.

I am not sure they will go for anything better. They could simply have picked a younger voice and it would have been better.

They needed a voice that's perceived as neutral, gender-evident but that would appeal to the vast majority of people of all ages and inclinations.

I don't have common taste at all. Siri in its English US, UK and Australian iterations sounds like a mass-transit customer service female. I want her to sound like the assistant I would hire.
