I purchased a new paid of AirPods Max from Best Buy recently during the Black Friday sale, everything checked out. They were real, I even called Apple and got the purchase date changed from November to December so I could purchase AppleCare Plus on them.
This is where the nightmare starts, a few days later and I still can't purchase it. I called Apple again, and they finally found out that Best Buy already has AppleCare Plus on them - In their name. How is that possible?
So I call Best Buy to get them to cancel it like Apple Support said. They don't believe me at all, there is no warranty they said. So after about an hour on the phone with Best Buy support- they are going back to the store.
Buyer beware if buying an old stock item from Best Buy. The AirPods Max were brand new, with the pull tabs in tact.
