Double Clicking Side Button Won’t Open Wallet

Hi all. Since updating to 17.1 (and now 17.1.1), double clicking the side button no longer opens Apple Wallet on my 15 Pro Max, it just locks the phone. I’ve tried simply powering the phone off/on and doing a soft reset with no luck. I’ve also tried toggling the button in settings to no avail.

It worked fine before the recent update(s).

Any ideas?

I actually got it resolved but it wasn’t related to the speed of my double click. As it turns out, the only passes in my wallet were no longer valid as they had been recently used or had expired. This evening I added airline tickets for an upcoming trip and everything worked fine.
