Well, after 10 years it's definitely time to replace it ; )
Although voltage may still seem 3.0 V , a battery voltage depends a lot on the load (=current draw).
In other words a new battery and an old one may both measure ~3.0 V with a multimeter.
The difference in voltage appears when there's a load: an old one will drop voltage a lot while a new one stays stable.
An old RTC battery can cause several funny issues , so that's why I'd start with the easiest/ most obvious culprit.
In case this doesnt solve the issue, I'd go through the troubleshooting procedure with a minimal setup.
