From locked position - I was showing someone how the camera comes up when all of a sudden the music player came up too. Can't see how to turn the player off and on in settings. Anyone?

Double tapping the home button in the lock screen has always brought up the music controls. Double tapping again will hide them.

I don't think you can. The camera app and the ipod app both come up on the lockscreen when you press the home button. Why does it matter if they both come on? Just hit the camera if you want the camera.

I must be the most unobservant individual I know because I've done this more than a few times and never noticed that both the music player and camera opened from a locked screen.

The music player controls have always been visible on the lock screen by double clicking home. The camera button is new in iOS 5.

I knew about camera and iOS 5, but never use the music player and didn't have any reason to double tap the home button.

Older people shouldn't get new technology....
