I'm weighing the pro's & cons, and they're tipping in favor of 1.1.4.
1.1.4 (jailbroken) had:
+ Stability, speed.
+ AFP - iPhone would show up mounted in Finder on my iMac, wirelessly, as an accessible external drive.
+ Tethering - It was available, and worked (just don't be dumb and start downloading movies & torrents & whatnot on it)
+ Summerboard Themes - They worked.
+ Touchpad - Was nice and easy.
2.0
+ You can save images in Safari
+ Has EccoNote, iProcrastinate, and Text Reader. These are very great, free, apps that the iPhone should probably have come with in the first place.
- Crash. Lag. Crash. Lag. Lag. Crash. Lag. Lag. Lag.
- No File Access
- Could tether if you were lucky enough to snag the app during the hour before Apple nixed it.
- Some of the same smaller apps that were available free before, are now available in appstore. ...but as pay apps.
+ Has games though, if you want to sit around playing games on a telephone.
2.0 (Jailbroken)
- CrashLagCrashLagCrashLag...
- Requires new versions to be written of all the old apps. Many won't be, and the few that will be will get to be crashy all over again. Yay!
- Winterboard - Doesn't work at all for some, Wallpaper doesn't work for the rest.
- Cytheria or whatever has a metric butt-tonne of unexplained, cryptically named apps that install and disappear into the mists.
I may just install everything in Cyderia to play around with, before blowing this thing away and putting 1.1.4 back on it, to get disc access mode back. That was huge.
