Hey!

I've already read: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/707575/

I'm interested in knowing how to downgrade my 3.0 baseband, but I would love a step-by-step guide on how to do it so I don't brick anything.

Here's what I have: iMac/iPhone 3G.

If possible, a link to any extra software/firmware I'd need would be great!

Thanks so much,

Mark

true, some of it is. i did follow some steps to downgrade to 2.2.1, but once I did, quickpwn would not recognize my iphone 3g.

anyone know what the issue is?

did you put the phone in dfu mode before restoring back to 2.2.1, and if the restore worked and gave you that error (1003 i think). if you did, did you hold down the power and home button for 15 seconds after the restore was complete?

i did everything properly, and used iRecovery to "activate" my phone. i have done this before, except now it isn't wanting to work.

could it be that i have itunes 8.2?

I'm not sure about iTunes 8.2 being an issue as I haven't upgraded my iTunes yet. When I upgraded to 3.0 then downgraded to 2.2.1 I couldn't get quickpwn to recognize my iPhone when I used my MacBook. I used a PC and quickpwn worked fine. If you're using a Mac try a PC and see if that works.
