Unluckily my iPhone suffered some hardware issues with the touch screen that were NOT related to Jailbreak or unlock.

Ok, to the point. The thing is I got the iPhone back today and it came with the disgraced 1.1.2 firmware. I have browsed wide and high the Internet to search for a downgrade tool that is usable on Windows XP.

So far I have seen the TUAW guide by Erica Sudan.

1. Put iPhone on DFU mode (Restore Mode) using iPhuc.
2. Quit iPhuc
3. Unzip your 1.1.1 firmware to .ipsw format.
4. Now after this comes the problem. Erica says:

I relaunched iPhuc, and from there, I issued a filecopytophone command with one argument, the WTF from the unzipped Firmware/dfu folder, namely Firmware/dfu/WTF.s5l8900xall.RELEASE.dfu. To finish with iPhuc, I entered "cmd go". I then restored my phone to 1.1.1 with iTunes and navigated to jailbreakme.com to perform the jailbreak.

The problem I have is that I don't know how write the command Erica refers to because this is my first time using a command line for iPhone. I tried to copy what she has but I don't get what I expect.

I also found another method using iNdependence.

1. Put iPhone in DFU (Restore Mode)
2. Connect to iTunes
3. Click Restore while holding Shift and select your 1.1.1 firmware
4. Wait for it to Extract and etc.
5. Now here is where iNdependence supposedly comes in.

I can't get iNdependence to run. (First time using it also) Is it only for Mac users or is it available in another version for Windows users?

Helps highly appreciated
