Downgrade from Sierra beta to stable release?

Safari is almost entirely broken. Constant beach ball while typing or loading a page.
I'm on a 2016 Retina MacBook.

reinstall the OS? try a test user account? safari is fine here. worse-case scenario, run chrome for the time being, until the next beta. but again, it's fine here...
