I should've known better. Things were working quite well with version 1.1.3, but I finally did the "upgrade". Now the machine won't sleep with Windows running, even if windows is in standby mode. With the prior version, went to sleep right on time and battery life great. The only way it'll sleep is if I close windows completely which is particularly efficient.

So...what steps are needed to go backwards and hopefully erase 2.0 and it's issues from my system? I see the "downgrade" option on the VMWare menu but thinking there must be more to this.

Thanks,

Mark

In the event anyone else out there is having a similar problem. I uninstalled Fusion 2.0 and reinstalled 1.1.3. Unfortunately I now have to re-activate windows and don't have my COA with me. Guess I'll do that tonight :(

Anyways, I installed the VMTools for 1.1.3 and let windows do it thing ignoring the activate prompt. And sure enough, it now goes to a black screen for standby and the Mac goes to sleep properly.

So one of the new VMWare 2.0 Fusion drivers is hanging the machine up. Hopefully they'll figure this out, as I did like a few of the other features. But not enough to give up my battery life.

And from what I can tell on the VM site, I have to pay now if I want to discuss this with anyone. They should pay me :p
