Hello!

I've read that it's possible to downgrade an iMac Pro that shipped with Catalina to Mojave. (It requires a bit of a workaround, but I've heard that it's possible using external boot, wiping the SSD, and installing using a bootable Mojave installer.) I'm assuming then that any models equipped with the Vega 64X cannot run Mojave since this upgrade came out after Catalina was released? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I'm just curious as to why you would want to do that? I would think that a computer that came with Catalina would run better than one that was upgraded.

Catalina has a heck of a lot of bugs and other issues. It also dropped support for 32 Bit apps, which is a big deal for a lot of people!

Furthermore, while OP's particular unit shipped with Catalina, this model has shipped with Mojave in the past (which is what makes this possible†), so it should absolutely run fine.

† Well, okay, the reverse wouldn't necessary be "impossible", but way harder. I've never done it successfully, and I've tried in several instances for various reasons.
