downgrade itunes backup?

Hey,

I remember during the ios 12 beta there was mention I think on here in a thread of a new program that can downgrade itunes backup to help go back to a lower iOS.

am I imagining this or is this a thing? could anyone help at all?

A backup just had data, it doesn't have the OS itself.

A backup just had data, it doesn't have the OS itself.

I know it doesn't have the OS in but I've managed to end up with 12.1 beta on my phone and last backup under 12.0 was about a week ago so I want to be able to downgrade and use an up to date backup from 12.1 on ios 12.0 which you cannot do and I'm sure I remember talk on here that linked to a program that could downgrade the backup to work with a older iOS
