I need to use PPTP vpn for voip. This has been disabled with ios10. Is there a tool that can help downgrade. I've seen a few links on the web but I think they are not legit.

I even went and got myself a brand new 6s plus sealed with the hope it would turn out to have one of the ios9 versions and it unfortunately came with ios10.0.1. What a messed up luck.

Any thoughts/helps. ?

I'm waiting for the galaxy s8 as I believe android won't remove pptp from their list of usable protocols.
[doublepost=1484297058][/doublepost]Is this genuine.

At this time there is no way to downgrade if Apple is not signing.

There have been a lot of rumors lately of new ways being worked on to allow downgrading, but so far no one has released any public tool to make this happen.

Thanks for a crisp response. I remember in old days we could use tinyumbrella but that no longer works even if blobs are saved. Apple is becoming so more distant for my liking.

Yeah…that all changed with iOS 6 and APTicket. Then IOS 7 went strictly to APTicket and except for 32 bit devices this era came to an abrupt end.

No idea what new workarounds the devs have found but there's a lot of noise about this on the jailbreak reddit page. Just haven't seen anything yet that doesn't require a degree from MIT or advanced engineering skills to use.

Android is becoming the same way. Samsung phones are shipping with locked boot loaders in the US and you can't downgrade many phones anymore either.

I've been checking on reddit as well. There are minor chatter about it but most of it requires saved blobs etc. I'm ok going down that path but there isin't a solution. I was ok with buying a new 6s with the hope of getting an Ios9 but that didn't work. It came with Ios10. Very disappointing. It was an unlocked sealed stock from the UK. The unlock policy says it was unlocked. Would have been nice to know the OS installed prior to opening the box. not sure if that was possible.

I'm ready to head out on a hunt and find myself an iphone with 9.3.5 and sell mine for a lower price even though its new.
Is there a way to decode before opening the box? The current one I got with GSX check I get this. Since this is activated I get the correct details. The new one in the box will be unactivated so not sure what will i see.
