I upgraded yesterday but I was wondering, in the case I run into major issues, how could I downgrade to the previous version of iOS? Is it even possible?

To be honest you probably shouldn't be installing the first developer beta if you don't know how to do this. Betas can be unpredictable. Creating a backup before installing the beta makes downgrading easier.

I know they are unpredictable and I am fine with it more or less. I am just wondering in case there is a major problem that is actually affecting me. I would appreciate if you could answer my question, if you know the answer :)

You can downgrade from 18 to 17.5.1 with the instructions from the link posted above, but if you didn't make an iCloud or computer backup on iOS 17 then you will be wiping all your data with no way to get it back.
