Downgrade to Snow Leopard

I have Lion GM, what is the procedure to downgrade to SL. Simply run the SL installer? Will I lose anything? Thank you!!

I don't think you'll be able to downgrade without formatting, but I could be wrong.

Do you have a Time Machine backup of your last Snow Leopard installation? I had the GM on my Mac and just booted from the restore DVD that came with my mac and did a regular "restore from backup" with Time Machine. No problems.

EDIT: this is a one-way trip. I have another disk with my last GM Lion install. I could not "restore from backup" back up to OS X Lion while booted into a Snow Leopard disk.

Just manually back up what you need, then reinstall 10.6, then manually restore stuff. It's a pain, but that's about your only choice.

I'm guessing not. looks like a full-on reinstall then.
