I upgraded my MacPro to Yosemite last night and failed to check the version of Aperture. I always do a software update before I install a new OS over the old one and Aperture did not come up with an update. I thought I was using the version that was usable in Yosemite. I was not.
I moved from 10.7 to 10.10, so I cannot do the downgrade to Mavericks as best as I can tell. My goal is to get to the Aperture version that works with Yosemite despite Apple no longer supporting it.
My Aperture was purchased in physical form. It does not appear under purchases in the App store so I cannot convert it to the digital version. I do have time machine backups.
What are my options?
Are all images I imported into Aperture in the library? If so, can I just load Aperture to another Mac that I have and load the library there? I'd have to give up Aperture on my MP, but I can live with that. I just need my photos.
Can I downgrade from 10.10 to 10.7, without some funky fancy song and dance or can I go to Mavericks without having ever had Mavericks?
Thanks all.
