OK, when I say "downgraded" that's a bit misleading.

I have had the AirPods Pro since November. In December they updated to the 2C54 firmware. At the time I thought I noticed a slight reduction in noise cancellation quality, but it wasn't that big of a deal.

Cut to February where my right AirPod Pro started making this thumping/static noise every 3-5 seconds no matter if music was playing or not. I got so sick of it I went to the Apple Store. For whatever reason, they didn't just have a right AirPods Pro replacement part available for me, so they just gave me a new pair of AirPods Pro off the shelf.

These AirPods Pro have the old 2B588 firmware on them...and my God...the difference in noise cancelation quality, I can now tell, is amazing. They are so much better than the AirPods Pros under 2C54.

I just hope to God these replacements AirPods Pro don't auto-upgrade to 2C54 (but I think Apple pulled that firmware?).

Nice to hear. Won't they automatically update to the newest firmware on their own soon?

Also, can you please change the title? I too, thought you had figured out a way to downgrade firmware.
