I was wondering if someone already tried to downgrad their iMacs that came pre-installed with Sierra to El Capitan? I am about to do it but I'm not sure if there will be issues although there shouldn't be because the late 2015 iMacs came with El capitan and are using the same hardware right?

You should be able to downgrade a late 2015 iMac to an El Capitan clean install without any problems, though I fail to see a reason to do so.

Do you have the computer in front of you yet?
If so, which version of the OS is on it?

I bought a -new- (not refurbished) MacBook Pro in December that came with El Capitan installed.

If the iMac has Sierra, you'll probably want something like a bootable USB flash drive with the installer on it to do the job.

I just did the downgrade using a USB stick and it is working flawlessly so if someone is looking to do the same on their iMac the answer is: Yes it works.
