download all icloud pics to computer

My computer right now is showing only photostream photos from early August even though icloud drive online has them going back to 2012. Any idea why my photostream isn't showing all my photos? Why wouldn't it be auto downloading all photos to my hard drive? I have the photostream checked off in icloud settings...

Pretty sure that photostream holds photos for only ~30 days.

any idea how to download all photos I have backed up on icloud? Seems like it is only letting me select one photo at a time. Also, is there a way to name icloud photos instead of just putting them in albums?
