Where can you download Comic Books? I keep hearing people talk about one of the comic book apps being the only .cbr reader (??). Does that mean you can go to a website, download a comic book and open it with that app like an eBook? I love the Marvel App but I'd love to be able to read other comics like Simspons, etc.... Is that even possible? Sorry for being a complete n00b on this.

I read DC comics and since DC hasn't jumped on the digital bus yet I have to splunker to find digital versions, I've found the best way to get digital comics is through torrents...

The truth is that most cbr/cbz files are 'homebrew' (yes, this is a nice way of saying pirated), scanned by hand--because the comic book industry hasn't really gotten it together yet with regards to digital distribution. In other words, the stuff is being pirated because there *is* no way to buy the majority of it legitimately. So you'll have to go digging.

But yes, you can then sync those files to your iPad (usually through a sync utility on your desktop machine, or (with the Comic Zeal app), you can sync through iTunes directly). One or two apps also do some sort of cloud storage/sync of your library, they are less full-featured though.
