I noticed I got a spam email from a friend and sent her an email to change her password. It was gmail.
She the told me she is having problems with her Mac.
Said this:I have a virus on my computer :(
Also:Slowing down all my Internet and typing. Flashing up all kinds of sites
I asked if she downloaded anything, she said: I downloaded what I thought was an upgrade to view videos

then she said this:Someone just told me they got a spam email from my google account that said sent from my iPhone!

Then this:I logged on to my gmail on my iPad and I was on someone else account ; that I emailed yesterday) I could see all his emails, everything in his account?!

What do you make of it, how can she get rid of the malware or whatever it is?

In a van down by the river
Have her install and run AdwareMedic. It will probably flag the culprits and help get rid of them.
http://www.adwaremedic.com/index.php

Make sure and tell her to never, ever update or install any upgrades or programs that come from pop-ups etc. Always get updates from Apple or directly from the developer website.

It would also be a good idea for her to change passwords, just to be on the safe side. If she doesn't already use a good password management program, she might want to consider that.

Edited to add: It wouldn't hurt her to join MacRumors. It would be easier for her to get direct help and answer any pertinent questions that will come up, from many of the well-versed members here.

That didn't help. I searched date web and found some more info on this.
I can't understand why there isn't more an uproar over programs like Mackeeper that invade peoples computers and they design the program so its extremely difficult to remove.
I think these people should be hunted down like animals and shown the facts of life.

Same for the corrupt wall street bankers/gov.

Does she happen to have a Time Machine backup from before the problems started? If so, she can reboot into Command+R and do a restore from Time Machine backup.
