Because of the unsolved problem described here:

Apple Music Throughput Woes

I've had to resort to playing pretty much nothing but downloaded playlists.

Unfortunately, I've discovered that the sound level differs so much from track to track that I'm constantly having to adjust the volume.

Sound Check is enabled but doesn't seem to have much of an effect.

I'm wondering if it might help if I delete all the downloaded songs (3.48GB) and then re-download?

Any other ideas?

There’s an app called iVolume which I use to smooth out the volume level between albums. It’s especially helpful if you’ve imported music into your library from other sources but good for the issue you’re describing anyhow.
