When I download or purchase an app in App Store, I would like it to ask for a touch ID, rather than entering a password, which is long and complicated. Granted I don't download apps often, while it did work at some point, I went to download an app today, and it asked me for my Apple Password instead of touch id? Is the normal behavior or a bug? How is it supposed to behave?

I have enabled all that is required, or at least I think so.

If you don't download apps very often, you will be required to enter your password for security purposes. Once you do that, you should be able to use Touch ID on your next purchase provided there isn't another long delay between purchases. iPad and iPhone operate the same way.

Can confirm. It always asked me for a password and yesterday I went on a shopping spree in the App Store and it finally asked me if I want to use TouchID😆
