I'm downloading Mountain Lion on my macbook (the last one, late-2010) and the d/l speed is incredibly slow.

I'm convinced that is has to be Apple's servers since earlier today, I downloaded 800+ MB (a different program not from the app store) in less than an hour but the Mountain Lion download cannot get past 700 MB within 4 hours. Estimated time for the entire download is sitting at 24 hours.

Has anyone else had this problem or could there possibly still be something wrong on my end? Is anything else on the app store downloading slow and could it be an issue with Apple's servers?

Thank you in advance for any help.

No problems here; the whole thing is estimated at well under an hour. The first thing I'd check is System Preferences > Network. Make sure that "DNS Server" is set to the server address provided by your ISP.

Thank you for your help. I suppose there's nothing I can do anyway. It wouldn't be so bad if I could leave the computer alone without worrying of "an error occurred" and having me resume the download again.

The pace seems to have picked up, but it's still on a 4 hour track. I can live with that. Just seemed strange since I was able to download other items quickly (as mentioned). Regardless, it is what it is. Again, thank you!

It was also slow on my end in downloading ML. I guess this is probably normal.
