Hi! I bought my Macbook Pro 13" back in June 2011 (I believe it was with OS X 10.6), and it came with iMovie and Garageband. Recently the hard disk had a problem so I sent it for repair. When it came back to me, it was on OS X 10.7 (if i'm not wrong) with no applications such as iPhoto, iMovie or Garageband installed.

So I downloaded Garageband off the Mac App Store, but I was told that I needed OS X 10.9 to download it. And so I updated to 10.9 and downloaded Garageband, only to realise that the new Garageband is extremely unfamiliar, and do not have the features that I need. Is there any way that I can download the older version of Garageband? Or iMovie, because I would really want the older version of it too?

Please help me!

(also, will anything work if i have another family member who has the older applications on his macbook pro with Mountain Lion as well? Like can I do any transfers of applications or something?)

Thank you!

If it came with the Mac yes if your friend bought the old version from Mac App Store no. And the answer to your first question the 10.6 disk and applications disk see if it’s on that or a time Machine backup and future reference do a clone or TM backup
