I would like to put together a little video in iMovie from some of the video clips online to show at my youth group. The thing is, I don't know how to download them. Is it possible or am I just out of luck. Thanks for any help!

You may be able to download them just pasting their URL in the Download window of your internet browser (at least it works on Safari). To get the URL just Control-Click on the link and select Copy URL or Link, OR if the video starts playing- go View/View Source and there try to find its URL. If it is a QuickTime file then it will end with .mov There are also some others ways to download the videos but these are the once I usualy use.
Also, if you have a QuickTime Pro, you can just save a video by clicking that little triangle on the bottom right side and save it to disk.

I'm curious about something of similar nature. I watch movie trailer's from the Apple site however its embedded into Safari the Quicktime movie. Is their any way to save the movie/download without getting Quicktime Pro.
Ive tried looking into the source code but alot of trailer require the 'click to play' function, as such when you find the .mov link it downloads that image as a movie instead of the movie trailer.

I usually use Webdevil myself, but Webgrabber is free, so try it out.
If that doesn't work I have another little trick.......
Open up the page that the video is embedded in using the Mozilla browser. It has to be Mozilla, not firefox or camino. On the bottom right corner of the window will be a little image of a lock. Click it. In the window that comes up, click the media tab. You'll see a pretty big list, mostly full of images. Somewhere in that list will be the video you're trying to get. In case you can't find it: To narrow it down, look down the "Type" column, a video usually says "Embed" in this column. Find your video, highlight it. Then click the Save As button at the bottom, and save it to your computer.
