I have a couple of .rm (realplayer) streaming videos for my study that I need to watch. I would like to download to my mac so I can also watch them when I don't have an internet connection. Does anyone know of a way of doing this?

Thanks!

i don't think it's possible to "download" without internet connection...however, u can transfer to the mac if u have any pen drive if the files are not too large...or use the iPod if u have one..or else..i believe u can hook up the two computers if i'm not mistaken with something some cable...

The .rm files you are talking about are Real media, right? They are streaming files, so you cannot play them without an internet connection. There are, however, recording applications such as iRecordMusic and AudioHijack. The former was one of the first pieces of shareware I had ever purchased, and I have been really happy with it. The latter is somewhat more versatile, but I liked the clean interface and webkit usage of iRecordMusic. :)

It seems to me this are music recording programs. The media I'm trying to download is video. Does anybody know of programs that'll allow me to do this?

Ooops! :( Sorry!

I, ahem, don't know of ones that generally do this for video.

This site lists a number of stream recorders for video, but all the ones that are cross-platform or available on Macs don't support Real. :( I don't know how exhaustive the list is, though. :(
