Is it feasible to download a steam game using my steam account onto one computer and copying the files over to another computer to use? I don't have the bandwidth at home and want to copy the stuff from my computer I use at work to my home computer... Has anyone done this sort of thing successfully?

Sure, you can do that.

Check this post out. That's going from Windows to Mac, obviously, but the principle should be the same.

It works fine from Mac to Mac too. Just install Steam on the 2nd computer and copy the game's files from Documents/Steam Content/ into the new computer's Documents/Steam Content/ folder. Then open Steam and choose "install" for the game you just copied.

Got it and thanks! Copied Steam Contents from my mac@work to my MacPro @ home. Wife played Portal last night till we went to bed :)
