I have an iMac 2.8 GHz Intel Quad-Core i5, 1TB HDD currently running 10.6.7

I just tried to install 10.7 DP 4 and everything works good up until the iMac restarts and the installer begins, about 2 minutes into the process it fails on making a backup and installing and tells me to restart to try again. I did just that and only to be faced with the same problem.

I'm going to try burning the image file to DVD and try again however if that still doesn't work then I'm out of idea's.

Any thing else I can try?

Same thing happened to me. Fixed it by booting from SL install disc, running disk utility and repairing disk. There were some errors repaired and Lion then installed perfectly.
