I notice there are 2 different DP4 builds. The public beta is 14A299i and the previous DP4 was 14A298i, does anyone know what the difference is?

I am currently running 14A298i, should I update to 14A299i? I'm afraid if I update to 14A299i that I won't be able to auto update to all the beta versions after since this is the public beta version.

Does anyone know?

No, you should stay on the developer build in order to receive the more constant and specific updates, as well as your developer notes. Just because the DP may be more polished or a newer release doesn't mean the developer seed wont take long to catch up, if anything it will be ahead again very shortly with whatever updates Apple puts out.

The stuff I've heard is that the public beta removed some features like Continuity that are in the developer preview (but buggy). If you are doing development, you should stick with the DP stream.

Exactly right, at this point there is now what's basically equivalent to a stable build and a nightly build. For your sake you should stay on the "nightly" if you want all the latest updates.
