Hey,

I have Dragon Age: Origins for my PS3 but barely played it as I've heard that it's so much better on the PC/Mac.
I'm looking to buy it for my Mac but can't seem to find it. The copies in the shops only say PC DVD so I'm guessing that won't work for my Mac.

I've read that you can download it but can you also buy a hard copy as I'd prefer that? I've got a problem with limited editions:D

Also, what specs would I need to play it perfectly?

Heres my current spec:

MacBook Pro 13"
2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
NVidia GeForce 9400M

It's not the most powerful graphics cards I know but if Dragon Age is available for the Mac, surely this spec will play it?

Cheers in advance.

The mac version only exists as a download. I might wait as there is an ultimate edition coming out next month that includes everything. Hopefully there will be a mac version of that as well.

It's not going to run great on your 9400M, though. You'll probably have to live with low/medium graphics.

Heads up, rumor has it a GOTY/Ultimate edition of DAO is en route. Might be a good idea not to buy right now. The leaked date was Oct 12th, though no idea how accurate that is likely to be.

Makes sense they would roll up all the DLC content in a magic bundle prior to DA2 tho.

You should really consider installing BootCamp and Windows for this game. If I'm recalling correctly, the Mac version is not a native port.

Anyways, so far Dragon Age is the most memorable game I've played in the past year. The scary part on my side, is that there's not a day that goes by that I don't think about -- lucky for me that I still have the expansion to play and I guess that DLC stuff.

My brother played DAO on his MBP 13 inch (i think he has the 2.26GHz),
so yours will be very slightly faster.
He played it in windows and it ran fine on low/med settings, a ciderized OSX version will be slower.
I suggest playing it in bootcamp.
