Apple should buy this company and integrate the software right into the iPhone OS.

This looks great, can someone post here if they notice it gets released to the app store? I definitely want to check it out. Thanks

Its only inexplicably available in the US, but as its free, its simple to set up a US account and download it.

It works absolutely perfectly with my British accent.

yep.. i too had to download from the US store and also works mostly with my british accent :)

i say "mostly" as some of the text is way off... but that could have been due to background noise etc..

Downloaded from US store too, and also "mostly" works with my british accent. The first test wasn't very successful though. Reading from my daughter's story book "that's not my dragon, it's ears are too tufty" got translated to "But my droid can you hope to talk". A second attempt gave me "to smoke my talking text is off to talk to" LOL :D

Yay finally! Thanks for the heads up. Oh crap, it won't let me d/l without being on 3.1 :( And I don't want to because I like my jailbroken set up. Bummer.

Oooh, thanks for the heads up. I'm going to go check it out.

FWIW, this is a sample of its translation of fairly technical text on my 3GS... not half bad for essentially a first try.

Works flawlessly and very simple UI.
I would have paid $$ for this !

Thank you devs.

I can see this app skyrocket to the top of the charts within days or even hours.

And no call center!

Finally, voice-to-text that doesn't involve a Pakistani reading your email.

Looks like there might be a 30-second limit on speech. Also, there's a short how-to on the Nuance site with some tips, including correcting text.

It's 30 seconds per segment - but you can keep appending forever

wow...

i have to say I am impressed on how accurate it is....mind you i do enunciate each word more than normal but for a "michigan accent";) it has no problems...

like one of the posters above said, i'd gladly pay a few bucks for this but glad it's free  for now..... :D

Wow! This app is amazing. I've been waiting for something like this. This is exactly what I was looking for and it works flawlessly! Best of all (for now) it's free! I highly recommend this to anyone that's been wanting a voice-to-text app. Major props go out to this developer.

Just downloading this app and it works great. i've already sent messages to people. ;)

BEWARE
Read the Terms closely, it immediately uploads your Contact info (no way to stop, or delete from server) ... privacy risk ... the company's response to this is that it copies names only so that it can better use during translation ... for what it's worth.

Also it's server based, so can't be used out of data range or in Airplane mode.

Honestly, it is amazing.

This app has great reviews, but what's the deal with it reading your contact info and sending it to the company. Does this concern anyone here that has downloaded it?
