As I posted in my last thread, I've found Golive to be very buggy, slow, crashing, and now just can't connect no matter what I do.

How does Dreamweaver compare?

And will DW be a part of the normal CS3?

When is CS3 coming out for Leopard?

Golive is garbage, and it generates way too much bad code, i will never touch that again. Dreamweaver is a great tool, but is also missing some features i feel should be in a editor.
if you are only doing html its great, but if you want to do a server side technology like JSP, or PHP you will want to use an editor like eclipse for your coding.

Dreamweaver already exists as part of CS3 suites, and already runs on leopard.

GoLive was, essentially, killed off when Adobe purchased Macromedia and made Dreamweaver their preferred Web development application (in the same way they killed off Macromedia's Freehand for their own InDesign/Illustrator).

And will DW be a part of the normal CS3?

Dreamweaver is part of both the CS3 Web standard (which is fully Leopard compatible, to anticipate the next question) and the CS3 Web premium (and actually the Design premium and, of course, the Master colletion).

When is CS3 coming out for Leopard?

Well, there was a time I think GoLive was better than DW...

Mind you, that was about the time I gave up WYSIWYG editors, all together, and started hand coding full time...

But with the release of CS3, I've actually started looking into making Dreamweaver (along with Fireworks) part of my workflow, again... and bought the CS3 Web premium pack with that intention...

That's true. I just remember GoLive as being unnecessarily complex and difficult to use.
Sounds like you and I both kind of work the same way. Although I mostly hand code these days (especially when doing PHP) I'll use Dreamweaver for the mundane stuff like creating tables (when I need to use them) or forms. It's faster than doing them by hand. Dreamweaver + TextMate is a good combination for web development.
