Hi everyone,

Basically the title. It seems that every time I reboot my MBP the Dropbox folder is added back to the "Favorites" section in the Finder sidebar (even though I removed the folder from there dozens of times already). I don't know if this is a macOS or Dropbox issue but does anyone have an idea how I could fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: This issue only started some time in the last weeks but I don't know what exactly caused this.

Dropbox client is kinda ******, that’s what I would blame. You could disable it from starting automatically and reboot and see what happens.

Same here and it's very annoying. I also run into the same thing with OneDrive. I guess it's the sync clients wanting to be helpful for most people, and I haven't found a way to disable that from happening.

Have you also noticed that the menu icon for Dropbox always wants to the left most one. Even if you move it to the most right position it will, after a couple of reboots, make it’s way to the left again. Damn annoying if you ask me. If anyone knows how to make the icon stay where it is placed I would appreciate the answer. 😢

Yes, annoying indeed. Since it doesn't happen after every reboot I guess it's each time after the app updated in the background. I could be wrong though.
