Dropped a Raptor 150 into my Mac Pro and benched it, check it.

I couldnt find alot of OS X Disk benchmarking programs. If anyone else has any they want me to try, lemme know, I used XBench.

As great as the MacPro is, one of the biggest speed bottlenecks is hard drive access. It affects booting, moving files, launching programs, and virtual memory.

Im curious as to how the new Seagate perpendicular recording drives compare to the Raptor, as they have higher data rates (I think)

I love the Seagate Perpendicular Recording Drives. I think they are the most stable and best drives overall on the market. That's why i'm buying 2 320GB ones for my Mac Pro.
