Dropped iPhone in water, everything works except "wake up screen" keeps coming on...

Everythiing on the phone works fine so far, I have access to a compressed air generator so I immediately blew the water out....

Anyway, when the phone is locked the "wake up screen" pops up (just like if I pressed the top power button) every 20 seconds, stays up then goes away. This kills the battery in about 4 or 5 hours. It does not do this when charging, so I assume it is not a short in the switch. I read on another forum about someone else having this exact problem, but they did noy have a fix.

Can someone please:
1. Let me know if this can be fixed.
2. How to go about fixing this....I think taking it to the store would be a waste of time as I'm sure the "water sensors" are red.
3. If it is fixable by a third party company please recommend one.
4. If anybody has had this problem and had it fixed, how much did it cost?

Trying to hide the problem from Apple won't make your warrantee keep existing. Take it to Apple, have them do the repairs/replacement, pay them, go about your business.

No third party is allowed to fix iPhones yet, and you'd pay out both ears instead of just the one with Apple.

So Apple will fix this??? I was told if you dropped it in the water that basically Apple almost always tells you you have to buy a new phone.....also I don't have an Apple store in my town, will the AT & T store be just as good??

You said it doesn't popup when it isn't connected to power, heh?

Maybe it was already happening and you only noticed now because you were looking for defects.

Try to restore the phone first before taking it to the store.

And yes I guess the ATT store will do.

It was definitely not doing it before.....I would have noticed and also this kills the battery in a matter of hours.

Also, when you restore a phone, it erases everything correct?? So I just need to make sure all my info is synced?? Including music?? (I have 12 gigs on there and it takes time to transfer...)
