I dropped my iPhone 3G today and the touchscreen is completely unresponsive. The external buttons work and I've tried resetting my phone several times-- no luck.

My yearlong warranty expired on the 7th. AT&T told me to call Apple about it and have them deal with it because of the warranty guidelines..

I've also had the screen cracked before, but I had it replaced by an unlocking company. Is there any way for them to know this?

You could get lucky. My girlfriend took her macbook in and got it repaired for free and she was 400 days out of warranty :D.
