I was standing, holding my MBA on my arm with my hand supporting the open screen and was startled and the MBA dropped from my arm straight flat down to a hardwood floor. The mac dropped straight down and evenly landed on its bottom, though the screen did close. When I opened it it worked fine, I closed it and came back to it 2 hours later and it had died. Turns out the hard drive failed. The MBA is in the process of getting data transferred and then repairing or replacing the hard drive. My question is, obviously the data transfer is not covered by my applecare, but what are the chances that the repairing of the harddrive will be. There is absolutely no physical external damage to the computer, so how able am I to deny any physical damage and have applecare fix my harddrive? thanks
