Hello,
I'm trying to figure out if I have a bad phone or there is just a bug...my phone drops my interconnect connection and returns to the iphone home menu. I have 2.1 version of the firmwire,am charged and just using the edge network and not 3G.

Typically it opens the first page of a goggle newspage fine, then I try to read the whole article and thats when it flips back. Does anyone else have this or do I have a defective phone?

Thanks

Have you tried different WiFi connections?

Also, you might want to backup and do a full restore. Give that a try.

Well I have the 2G Iphone and have also had this happen. Was using the interent and then it just switched to the home screen. I turned it off and on and touch wood it hasn't done it since.

That sounds like a safari crash. Try clearing your cache, or using only safari (no music in the background). It's unfortunate and many people have encountered similar problems. Try searching "safari crash" in the forums and you'll find plenty of company. :(
