Ok this gets really annoying. I still have the music dropping over bluetooth in the car and my AirPods on the final iOS 12 version. So my question is it is still there in iOS 12.0.1 or 12.1 Beta???

iOS 12.0.1 still having problems in streaming audio via bluetooth and it pisses me off.
Completely annoying on my BMW using iDrive.

No issues in my BMW, 2017 business nav Idrive. I never use the radio, only my iPhone streaming Apple Music.

My 2018 BMW has problems with audio streaming (Apple Music, Spotify) and even during calls. Audio quality fluctuates between good and bad randomly. It's annoying and I did not have this issue on iOS 11.4.1 on my iPhone X. Business Nav iDrive in my car. :(

Have you unpaired then re-paired your phone? I had to do that on my previous car when I had issues with Bluetooth performance.

Unpaired, re-paired, clean install from scratch of iOS12, reset cellular data... the problem persists. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 and my iPhone X with iOS 11.4.1 works fine

No AirPod connection issues at all with my iPhone Xs running iOS 12.0.1

Adam.

Someone tested this problem when the wifi is completely turned off? I thought yesterday this fixed the dropping music quality issue but Im not sure.. can someone test this too??? But you need to turn it off via settings not via control center!

Hi guys.

Sorry to hijack the thread. I’m on 12.1.1, and this is still occurring for me.

Works fine if I switch the Wi-Fi off fully in the settings menu, as mentioned above.

Surely this bug should be resolved by now???

Hi, i upgrade from iPhone X (with the bluetooth problem) to the iPhone XS Max and has the same problem.
I reported on the iPhone X to Apple and after several tests and logs sent the engineering department reported that it knows the problem and that it is solving the problem in a future software upgrade. Meanwhile ios 12.1.1 left and the problem persists (on my new iPhone XS Max). Works fine if I switch the Wi-Fi off fully in the settings menu.
