Has anyone got any ideas or advice about any decent and affordable drum and music loop creation software for OSX? I'm really looking for something similar to FruityLoops but don't really know where to start.

I've checked out www.osxaudio.com and there's almost too much stuff on there to get to grips with, so I was hoping that someone might be able to give me the benefit of some first-hand experience! I've taken a look at Reason, but was wondering if there was anything a little less expensive available...

Try Apples Soundtrack, it may have a huge loop library, but you can create your own loops with the loop utility and it allows up to 24 tracks of audio recording as well.

As a loop creator, reCycle is excellent, but it only works in 9 at the moment, although there is a workaround for Classic.

Also look at Reason. Standard drum machine layout, REX file playack with some decent manipulation. Loads of other features.
