The as-yet unavailable Canon 5D Mk II and, not quite as good for video, the Nikon 90D. I'm pretty sure that's it right now.

Wait a second, this camera shoots VIDEO in Raw format (!) uncompressed? Huh?

What kind of video format would that be and how would you use it with lets say final cut pro?

And if it's really superior to the RED-One how come it's so "cheap"?

Yeah, what's the catch?

Maybe that it only does video in compressed h.264? Although in his article he's writing: "entire video was cut with the RAW footage"

I've never heard of video editing in RAW format. Anybody else?

What does he mean?

And anybody know if the video coming out of that camera is compressed (h.264) or really uncompressed as it appears in that article?

If truly the latter then that would be amazing.

I think you guys may be misunderstanding what he was saying. I think he means that he just used the raw footage from the camera not that it was in actual raw format. The camera shoots .mov files using h.264 at 1080p so not exactly a red competitor.
