Previously I use to use the ATV to play DTS Wav music files with out any problem when connected to my Denon 4308 amplifier via HDMI, streaming the files from my computer, using an Airport Extreme.

I have sold my Airport Extreme and waiting to buy a Time Capsule, so I have synced my music files to the ATV as wireless is not an option at the moment.

Since then my DTS Wav music files are only playing static (as if your not using a processor to play them)

I first thought it was the amp setting but these havnt changed and I have double checked them.

Could it be possible that these files can only be played while streaming?
Or has the latest ATV update stopped these files being able to be played?

Thank you, Troy

you must have no EQ settings, and the volume (on the :apple:tv) must be at 100%.

Since it's a digital signal if you modify it at all, you change it enough that the receiver can't process it.

Thanks for the reply.

Worked out that it was the Sound Check option on the ATV that needed to be turned off.
