Dual 19in CRT Displays Sufficient?

I have 2 19in CRT's that I could use with a new MacPro. I would be getting the 7300GT mind you but back to the point. I guess what im asking is would the 1280x1024 screen resolution look the same way it does in Windows on a PC? Ive never owned a mac so I feel dumb asking. Everything is around the same size right? Does anybody have a screenshot of OSX in 1280x1024 or something? man I feel dumb right now.

IMHO it will look better .

The MacOS is better able to adjust gamma, and it produces much cleaner fonts with less bleed through when compared to an XP computer running the same Video card, and resolution.

You can also adjust the font smoothing in OS X much easier. With that and the gamma and screen adjustment (as well as ColorSync), you can taylor your monitors to suit your needs with Native software, that works well with the OS.

No need to download ATI or Nvidia tools to do these adjustments on your Mac

Hi Kyle, I believe I mentionned this in dvcreators.net, but that's what I have on my MacPro, two 19" monitors from my old PC. It's good, 1280x1024 is the perfect resolution for my 19" CTRs. I tried higher, but things (text) were getting too small for my taste.

I used an old 19" CRT with my Mac Mini a while ago because I left the remote for my LCD screen at Uni. I was actually blown away by the quality, the contrast was amazing. I'd forgotten how good the image quality of CRT displays actually is! OS X looked much nicer on them than Windows although I don't know how to describe why. Better colours, richer shades, etc.
