Can this be done WITHOUT using a powered Thunderbolt dock. Meaning can I connect two 30'' Cinema Displays to the 2018 Mac Mini without frying the Mac Mini's thunderbolt Ports.
I'm trying to migrate from my current setup Macbook pro 15'' mid 2015 16gb ram with dual 30'' cinema display, using Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter.
I have just recieved a replacement 8,1 I sent the last one back due to Thunderbolt 3 only working when connected to a powered thunderbolt 3 dock.
Did I fry the Mac Mini's ports by connecting them directly to the Cinema Displays?
I used .....
(x2) Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter
(x2) MEIRIYFA USB Type C to Mini DisplayPort Adapter, 4K@60Hz USB C Male to Mini DP Cable Adapter
Were the Cinema Display's together with the above drawing too much power?
Thanks for any direction in advance
P.s Haven't connected them up yet incase I blow the my second Mac Mini😥😥😥😥😥😥😥
